Lady Gaga has long been engaged in the struggle for gay rights. This time, however, our heroine has done mess that could jeopardize the rights of animals. The pop star is in fact appeared in Sofia, Bulgaria with a shocking pink fur by Hermés. Many fans at this point have thought of a fake fur but the facts speak for themselves: Hermés does not produce false fur. Gaga had already sparked the ire of animal rights with her meat dress at the VMA evening. Now the pink fur upset many fans and our Lady Gaga was forced to publish the following statement on its website: “I am choosing not to comment on whether or not the furs I purchase are faux fur-pile or real because I would think it hypercritical not to acknowledge the python, ostrich, cow hide, leather, lamb, alligator, kermit’ and not to mention meat, that I have already worn. I have truly always stayed away from skinned fur, especially i have never been able to afford a nice one, but this does not mean my morals are rigid and that I won’t bend at the sight of an absolute art piece of a coat. I have no chains about this. You see a carcass, I see a museum pièce de résistance. But I am truly sorry to fans who are upset by this, its a fair and applaudable feeling about the health and safety of animals. I respect your views, please respect mine.” In Gaga opinion fur is fashion and fashion is art. This is the dumbest thing we ever heard in our life.
Lady Gaga è da tempo impegnata nella lotta per la difesa dei diritti gay. Questa volta però la nostra eroina ne ha combinata una grossa, un pasticciaccio che potrebbe mettere a repentaglio i diritti degli animali. La popstar è infatti comparsa a Sofia in Bulgaria con il suo cagnolino in grembo e con una bella pelliccia Rosa di Hermés. Molti a questo punto hanno pensato ad una pelliccia falsa ma i fatti parlano chiaro: Hermés non produce pellicce false. Gaga aveva già scatenato le ire degli animalisti con il suo vestito di carne alla serata dei VMA. Anche molti fans si sono infuriati e la nostra Lady Gaga si è veduta costretta a pubblicare la seguente dichiarazione sul suo sito: “Non ho mai indossato pellicce vere, anche perché non sono mai riuscita a permettermene una. Questo non significa che io detesti le pellicce, anzi. Quando voi vedete le pellicce, vedete una carcassa. Io invece vedo un’opera d’arte museale. Mi dispiace che i miei fans siano indispettiti è un comportamento ammirevole in difesa dei diritti degli animali ma io rispetto le vostre opinioni, voi rispettate le mie”. Il comunicato di Gaga a noi sembra a dir poco senza senso ma l’opinione della cantante è fin troppo chiara: le pellicce sono di moda e la moda è arte. Peccato che noi non consideriamo le pellicce una moda e nemmeno la creatività una moda.
